You will probably have to look at this one for a wee while before your eyes register what you are seeing. Do you want to make your home much more beautiful and elegant and sophisticated? I bring you modernity to your home. Today we will learn how to make the incredible Sophie’s Universe CAL 2015, was a mystery in crochet-along sponsored in 2015 by Kimberly Slifer and designed by Dedri Uys.
Sophie’s Universe CAL began on January 18, 2015 and lasted 20 weeks, and each week was released on Sunday parts of this amazing project. With this CAL, a continuous square blanket can be created using Scheepjes Cotton 8, Softfun or Stone Washed XL!
Even though Sophie’s Universe CAL 2015 is over, the online community around her is still thriving and it’s always possible to find someone on the internet who is doing Sophie, whether alone or in a group.
Sophie’s Universe CAL 2015 is much more than just a solid square blanket; an incredible experience. Although the pattern looks pretty advanced, it was written for people who are now starting in the crochet. Each embroidery is explained in detail with step-by-step photos and tips to help you create your blanket and master the art of crochet.
Optional instructions are being provided if you wish to add to your blanket, either to grow it or to make it rectangular.
The original (Large) was made with Scheepjes Stonewashed XL Worsted (# 4) knit yarn and a 5mm / 5.5mm crochet hook, which will give you a finished blanket size of 1.8m x 1.8m (just over 6 ‘).
I also made two more sizes / colors:
Scheepjes Softfun Double Knit (# 3)
Cotton of Scheepjes 8 (# 2)
