Virus Blanket

Super beautiful, super easy and after setting the standard; you repeat the same lines several times until you reach the desired size. It may be tiny or monstrous, your choice! This pattern is called Virus Blanket.

It’s a perfect square under construction. To make Virus Blanket was created using Super Saver Red Heart Stripes in Fruity Stripe. Using a G hook (4mm), a repeat with 1-10 turns plus a turn of 7, left the piece measuring approximately 14 “in diameter.

You can use any wire with the appropriate hook size. When the sewing pattern is open, it looks better when stitched with too much force. Keep this in mind when choosing a hook to match your yarn and make your Virus Blanket.

Lets do this:

Chain 6 loosely, pbx the 1st chain made in ring form. * Mark first st of each round to follow, do not turn.

Rnd 1: ch 3 (counted as dc here and everywhere), make another 23 dc in the ring, pbx to the top of beg ch-3. (24) * Push sts well together while working, so that all fit in the ring, it’s very fair, but it works *

Rnd 2: with 3 sts alloy / knit / pbx / bp / bp / bp / bp / bp / bp / bp / bp / bp / bp / bp / bp / bp / bp / dc and four ch-8 sps).

Rnd 3: ch 3, dc in nxt dc, ch 1, 10 bp in nxt ch-8 sp, ch 1, * cc in nxt 2 bp, ch 1, 10 bp in nxt ch-8 sp, ch 1, repeat of *, twice as much, pbx up beg ch-3. (48 dc, strings not counted).

Rnd 4: ch 3, dc in nxt dc, ch 1, (dc in nxt dc, ch 1) 10 times, * dc in nxt 2 dc, ch 1, (dc in nxt dc, ch 1) 10 times, repeat *, twice as much, pbx up beg ch-3. (48 dc, strings not counted).

Dc in nxt dc, ch 1, (dc in nxt dc, ch 2) 9 times, dc in nxt dc, ch 1, * dc in nxt 2 dc, ch 1, (dc in nxt dc, ch 2) 9 times, dc in nxt dc, ch 1, repeat from *, twice more, pbx until the beginning of beg ch-3. (48 dc, strings not counted).

NOTE: Maybe you will have a bit of a “mess” of work at this point; do not worry it’s normal for these types of stitch pattern and it will flatten out as you work more rounds. In addition, a light job lock when you finish the process will end up nice and flat.

Rnd 6: CH3, DC in DC NXT, ND 8, dn NXT 2 of direct current, sc in NXT q sp CH-2, (ns 3, dn NXT 2 bp, sc nnin CH2 sp) 3 times, ND 8, SK NXT 2 bp, * bp in NXT 2 bp, ng 8, nxt dn 2 bp, sc nnnin CH-2 sp, (ns 3, dnns 2 bp, NNNS CH-2 sp) 3 times, CH 8, SK NXT 2 bp , repeat from * around, pbx to the beginning of beg ch-3. (eight ch-8 spaces and twelve ch-3 spaces as checkpoint).

IMPORTANT BEFORE STARTING THE NEXT ROUND:

“CORNER” is set to the next 2dc as you proceed.

NOTE *: The first time and the 7th to 9th round will not use the “reps until the next corner is reached”. You will be on the corner. This is important so that the rounds can be repeated easily. Each subsequent repetition of these rounds, however, will require repetitions. Do not get confused by it.

There are many repetitions of sections. Be smart with the symbols you should use, where, when, and what. They are *, **, (), {} and {{}} used.

Rnd 7: ch 3, cc in nxt cc, pc 1, 10 cc in nxt ch-8 sp, pc 1, * sc in nt ch-3 sp, pc 3, sc in nt ch-3 sp, pc 3, sc in nxt ch-3 sp, ch 1, 10 bp in nxt ch-8 sp, ch 1, repeat from * until the next corner is reached (no need to repeat the first time), then ** dc in nxt 2 bp, ch 1, 10 dc in nxt ch-8 sp, ch 1, (sc in nxt ch-3 sp, ch 3, sc in nxt ch-3 sp, ch 3, sc in nxt ch-3 sp, ch 1, 10 bp in pbx-8 bp, bp 1) repeat (-) until reaching the next corner (no need to repeat the first time), and after ** at the end of the turn, 2dc, pg. until begging ch-3.

Rnd 8: ch 3, dc in nxt dc, ch 1, (dc in nxt dc, ch 1) 10 times, {sc in nx ch-3 sp, nt 3, n in nt ch-3 sp, ch 1, dc in nxt dc, ch 1) 10 times}, repeat {-} until the next corner is reached (it is not necessary to repeat the first time), then, * dc in nxt 2 dc, channel 1, (dc in nxt dc, ch 1) 10 times, {{sc nxt ch-3 sp, ch 3, sc in nxt ch-3 sp, ch 1, (dc in nxt dc, ch 1) 10 times}}, repeat {{-}} until next corner 2dc is reached (no need to repeat the first time), then repeat from * around, pbx to beg ch-3 start.

Rnd 9: ch 3, dc in nxt dc, ch 1, (dc in nxt dc, ch 2) 9 times, dc in nxt dc, ch 1, {p in nxt ch-3 sp, ch 1, (dc in nxt dc, ch 2) 9 times, dc in nxt dc, ch 1}, repeat {-} until it reaches nxt corner (not necessary to repeat the first time), then * dc in nxt 2 dc, ch 1, (dc in nxt dc, ch2) 9 times, dc in nxt dc, ch1, {{nx ch-3 sp, ch1, (dc in nxt dc, ch2) 9 times, dc in nxt dc, ch 1} repeat of {{-} } until you reach the next corner (you do not need to repeat the first time), then repeat from * around, pbx to the beginning of beg ch-3.

Rnd 10: ch 3, cc in nxt cc, channel 8, sk nxt 2 cc, sc in nxt ch-2 sp, {ch 3, sk nxt 2 pb, sc in nxt ch-2 sp) 3 times, ch 8, sk nxt 2 cc, skip nxt, skip nxt 2 sc then sc nxt ch-2 sp}, repeat {-} until 2 sc before 2DC ndc, last repeat delete sc and skip nxt 2 pb, * pb in nxt 2 bp, pc 8, d nxt nxt 2dc, sc nxt q ch-2, {ch 3, pn nxt 2 pb, sc in nxt ch-2 sp) 3 times, ch 8, sk nxt 2 pb, skip nxt sc, skip nxt 2 dc, sc in nxt ch-2 sp)}}, repeat {{-}} until 2 dc remains before nd 2dc, delete the last sc in the last repeat and skip nxt 2 dc, repeat * around in the final repeat , skip the first sc and skip the last 2 sc and pbx until you deploy ch-3.

INCREASE SIZE: Repeat rounds 7-10 until the desired size is reached.

FINISHING VIRUS BLANKET: Repeat round 7 again after the last desired repeat of round 7-10.

EDGE: work a sc on every round and run around and in the 3 current spaces work 3 sc. In the 10 dc groups, work a picot (current 3, pbx in the 1st chain of chain 3 made) at 2º, 4º, 6º and 8º bb, pbx up to 1º bp when returning to the beginning and tying.

I needed to create you the tiny remark to say thanks the moment again for the superb methods you have shared on this website. It is simply extremely generous with you to offer openly what exactly many people could have advertised as an electronic book to get some dough on their own, most notably given that you might have tried it if you considered necessary. The points as well worked like the great way to fully grasp that other people online have similar dreams like my personal own to realize lots more with regards to this issue. I am certain there are some more pleasant situations in the future for folks who look into your site.
