It is very important to have a very comfortable room with quilt crafts that makes your room more cheerful, because it is in your room that you rest after a tiring day. Bedding (sheets, bedspreads, bedding kits) are the basic principles for your comfort, but they also help a lot to have a good harmony in the decoration of your room. Among the many options that the market offers, we have the classic and most common: the Every Little Bit quilt. What is not known for certain is the real difference between these two options. Do not worry! We will take you to the quilt writing tutorial. This is the basic feature of the quilt.
They can be made of yarn such as crochet, for example, but also of cotton fabrics and blended with polyester. Although most quilts have embroidery and various embellishments, we have several options with simpler patterns on the market. These templates are for those people who choose to quilt in the simplest and fastest style, but most people like to follow a written tutorial, don’t they? Then we will make a walkthrough available to you.
In general, bedspreads are much more embellished than the other options (bed covers, comforters, etc.) than being part of the bedding, except for the ones mentioned above. Not All bedspread sizes are used to cover, because of their embellishments, turns out not to be very comfortable. It is usually only used for same room decoration or a special occasion. As the name implies, machine quilting needs a machine to be done! Machine quilting is done with a sewing machine. And today we will talk about the ideal machine for quilting, there are two types of sewing machines: stationary and mobile. A stationary machine is a machine that stays stationary, that stays still. On the other hand, a mobile machine is a machine that is moved. Within this category of stationary machines we have domestic machines and industrial machines. So a home quilting machine is the most common sewing machine to be found around. This machine can be one of the very old ones, like the first picture in this article (called 15c machine or grandma’s machine), or it can be a more sophisticated domestic machine.
The type of machine does not interfere in the quilting. You just need a machine that can sew straight! And that is exactly why any home machine will do. The machine does not need to have a decorative stitch, or buttonhole stitch, or start/stop, or thread trimming, nothing like that… In fact, it really only needs to do the straight stitch! In other words: you can start quilting with any sewing machine you already have! The industrial machines are a little bit different from the domestic ones.
In this case, of course, the rule remains: just make straight stitches and you can use them. So much so that the industrial machine we use for quilting is the so-called “industrial straight machine”. That is: a machine that only does straight sewing! The way of quilting on these two types of machines is the same. So, we assemble the quilting sandwich, prepare the machine, and start quilting by moving the sandwich. In other words: the machine stands still and we move the quilting sandwich to form the stitches and designs.
The moving machine – also called “on rail” or “longarm” – is the opposite of all that. On this type of machine, the sandwich stands still and we move the machine itself to form the designs! It is also known as a “professional machine”. This is because it offers the possibility to do all the quilting faster than the other machines already mentioned here. So what we do here is simply hold the handlebar to move the machine! In this case we don’t even have to assemble the sandwich, just position the layers. The important thing in this conversation is for you to understand that: no matter where, you can quilting on any of them! Each one will have specificities, of course, but it is possible to use any of them for quilting.
