- 4-tr cl = Hold the last loop of each stitch on the hook to pull them together, 4 tr at the mentioned stitch, thread, pull all 5 loops on the hook.
- 4-bptr dec = Hold the last loop of each hook point, bptr around each of the next 4 indicated points, thread, pull through the 5 hook loops.
- 8-bptr dec = Hold the last loop of each point on the hook, bptr around each of the next 4 points indicated, use only points tr and ignore the middle sc point between squares. Collect all 9 loops on the hook and wire to pull all loops on the hook.
